Don’t plan too much

The goal of planning your holiday should be to get a rough idea of what you want to do each day, but you shouldn’t plan it to exact times. If you plan a strict schedule, then it can be stressful trying to get from one activity to another. Plan one morning and one evening activity at most and give yourself plenty of time to relax and wander around. This gives you the most freedom yet still ensures that you have some goals for each day.

Book Transport In Advance

Look for transportation and book it in advance to save time. Whether you’re booking VIP transport in London to get from the airport to your hotel more easily, or if you’re booking a rail pass so you can travel across Japan more easily, it’s best to plan ahead as early as possible so that you’re less likely to encounter issues when you arrive in the country. This can also help you save a considerable amount of money.

Keep Your Documents Handy

Always keep your documents handy to reduce the amount of time you spend at security checks, check-ins, and other similar situations. We suggest keeping them in a handy bag that you carry with you at all times.

Fix Your Sleeping Pattern First

Being able to beat jet lag on day one means that you can fix your sleeping pattern and actually head out and have fun instead of sleeping in all day. It helps if you try and plan your rest time on the plane to coincide with the time you land at your destination. If you’re going to arrive at night and you slept for most of the journey, then you may want to try and get some sleep regardless so you can wake up feeling refreshed and ready to explore.

Try To Travel Light

Traveling light makes it so much easier to move around and it gives you more options when it comes to traveling. Instead of having to book a taxi for everything or lug around heavy luggage, you’ll feel more nimble and will be able to get from point A to B in the least amount of time and with the most freedom.
