I regularly get asked by new bloggers about the best way to grow their new blog. I love seeing people starting their blog & being excited to grow, make an impact & have fun.
Growth is an interesting question, the first thing you have to think about is how you are going to measure your growth. Will it be in website visits, email subscribers or maybe even you mean Instagram followers you hope to convert over to your blog.
These are all things which have benefit to you & it’s understandable to want to grow. However, before you will ever have substantial growth in any of these places ask yourself these questions & be honest with your answers.
Are you ready to put in the work it requires to build a blog?
Will you commit to being consistent?
Do you have the patience to stay the long-term?
Growing your Blog
If you answered yes to all of those then you will be able to build a strong blog, create a brand & see the growth you are looking for. Sadly, there’s no way to know how long it will take you to establish yourself & create the numbers you want which is why patience is so important. Of course, there are always stories about someone who grew to 1 million Instagram followers, created huge brand collaborations & was able to quit their job in a few months but these are the exception, not the rule.
In fact, I would imagine most of your favourite bloggers who do have huge followings & are blogging as a full-time job have been doing it for years. They have put in the hard-work, stuck with it & only now are reaping the benefits of this.
Over the years I’ve seen the blogging landscape change dramatically but there is one thing which is still number 1.
Consistency.
It’s not glamorous, it’s not always easy & it takes planning, effort & commitment.
It will be worth it. Staying consistent is the best way to ensure your blog will ultimately see the growth you are looking for.
There really are no big secrets to building a successful brand but hard-work, consistency & patience will take you a long way to grow the blog & brand of your dreams!
