Tips for Planning That Smashin' Summer Fiesta
Think Planning an Awesome Party is Hard? With Our Tips You'll be a Pro!
It's almost the start of Summer and what better time is there than now to throw that awesome get together? Here are some fun suggestions to spice up your sizzlin' summer fiesta.
Make it easier on yourself. Plan ahead. It will allow you more time to have a great time at your party and it will help alleviate the stress of planning a party. Do everything that you can ahead of time so that you can spend more time at the party greeting guests and mingling. Most party platters can be picked up the night before and kept cool in the refrigerator. Balloons and streamers and other decorations can be set out the night before as well.
Make it fun for your guests! It's all of the fun little touches that will make your guests remember a great get together. To jazz up your ice cubes, buy silicon ice trays in fun shapes, or use plastic ice cubs so that their drinks won't become watered down. You could also add your favorite colors of food coloring to the water before you freeze your ice cubes to add some color to their drinks.
Be Considerate. Consider the needs of your guests. A good hostess will always consider the needs of her guests. Just as you would keep the bathroom stocked with toilet paper, there are several other items to keep in mind. If you are having a pool party, have certain necessary items like towels and sunblock readily available to your guests. Try to have a couple interesting games available to keep them entertained if the conversation isn't flowing enough.
Be a responsible host. If you are going to be serving alcohol at your party please be responsible and look out of the safety of your guests (and others on the road). Try to make sure that everyone who leaves is good to drive and keep a local cab companies phone number handy just in case some people aren't. Be prepared to even have a couple people over if you have to.
With these tips and a little creativity your party (and future get togethers) will be the ones that everyone will be sure not to miss!
